Hi, I know that it is not recommended but I’m having trouble installing Qubes to a USB so thought I’d try installing it as a virtual machine instead. I read on question where it appears somebody had achieved it but I’m running into trouble as I get the following error:
I’m not sure what this error means so if anybody could help I’d appreciate it. The installation does appear to complete but Qubes fails to start.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I am indeed trying to install it on USB but not having much joy there either. So I thought I’d try a virtual solution as well as trying to get the USB to work. I have VMWare so shall perform the search you indicated. Thanks for the advice.

Hello again, I’ve managed to get it working up to a point. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to run full screen. Tried install VMWare tools and then tried installing VMWare tools manually. Whilst it was an interesting exercise I think it broke the Qubes VM as it seems to have refused to work since and now I shall have to try again. I don’t suppose you have any ideas?
