Sorry that it took a bit of time to restore your post. It seems like the system flagged it originally, but from quick glance, there’s no ill intent on your post. Quite the opposite.
I haven’t been as involved on moderation, but I can say that we definitely don’t want foot guns on guides on the forum. At the same time this is a community effort and it requires many eyes to guard existing resources. In general users should expect the contents on the forum to be other’s opinions and not trusted information. The more trusted one is on the official docs, where there is a process to approve information. And even there, it is somewhat assume untrusted because the Qubes team encourages distrusting infrastructure, but at that level it is reasonable for most to assume trust in the infra for practical reasons – otherwise, how does one learn.
This to say that I don’t think we have an answer. But please do assume good faith from moderators because we are making an effort here and are volunteers at the end of the day.
Users are part of that distrusted infrastructure. I’d consider it good practice for anyone to assume that they are possibly wrong (as others possibly are). This could mitigate a lot of personal outrage and paranoia.
It is just a side note, but thanks to the huge work of the maintainers, the docs are trusted: only their sources, not the web builds of the docs (found in https://doc.qubes-os.org).
