There are many suspend problems in HCL#hardware-desktops , so I want to find a motherboard that can support suspend.
HCL - MSI Z490-A Pro Motherboard can support suspend but this motherboard can only support Intel CPU while I prefer AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series CPU because AMD has more cores and higher CPU mark.
Purism mini doesn’t have suspend problem but it uses Intel CPU too and looks like it uses it’s own motherboard .

AMD Ryzen 9 5000
I don’t think you’ll be very happy with it:
Hi,
I have a ryzen 9 5900x cpu, 64gb ram and an amd 6800xt gpu desktop with nvme disks
Installed 4.1 fresh install (had to use nomodeset to boot the usb installer) 5.10 k rnel
Yet when I log in it’s extremely laggy, a few fps for moving the mouse & dragging a terminal window.
It looks like the amdgpu drivers aren’t working?
So I updated to 5.15 using the unstable repo and latest kernel
Still the same issue
When I run the update now it points to a 5.16 kernel, loads the firewall vm to down…
After reading about successful Ryzen 9 5950X on B550 , I built a similar system but am unable to get very far.
I went with 5950X on the MSI MPG B550 Carbon Wifi. I don’t see any MSI B550s on the compatibility list but figured I would try.
I’ve tried legacy and UEFI but am not able to get very far.
With UEFI, I’m able to get as far as a loop about a job start for udev and then an error while assigning device slot ID and then failing to start systemd-udev-settle service. I have a hunch it’s an i…
Hello there. Small-Brain Qube’s 4.1 user seeking Big-Brain advice. Too new of a user to attach files so a wordy post. I have been getting system reboots (AMD Ryzen 9 5900X; ASRock X570M Pro4; kernel 5.10.76-1; Xen 4.14.3) one to three times a day. It seems to happen when either watching Netflix or in anyway interacting with the Monero (xmr) software. Sometimes the reboots happen without any particular input on my part, and others it seems to happen immediately when click to start a Qube. Often a…

There’s a bug when running amdgpu driver on the top of Xen. It seems that resuming igpu needs some interaction with AMD PSP. There’s probably little success in suspending a ryzen, besides Screen does not wake up after resume (AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U) · Issue #6923 · QubesOS/qubes-issues · GitHub .
