Trying to troubleshoot uefi

Hello - I have installed qubes but the mobo isnt recognizing it as a boot option. I’m trying to follow the instructions here: UEFI troubleshooting | Qubes OS

However, the instructions arent matching my setup.
I’m at the completion of the installation. I have switched to tty2

I’m at step one looking for the directory that contains the 4 files
/boot/efi/EFI/qubes does not exist

/boot however has 2 of the 4 files that step 1 is telling me to find
initramfs-6.1.62-1.qubes.fc37.x86_64.img
vmlinuz-6.1.62-1.qubes.fc37.x86_64
vmlinuz-6.6.2-1.qubes.fc37.x86_64

/mnt/sysimage/boot/efi/EFI/qubes has another 1 of the 4 files:
xen-4.17.2.efi

it also has
fonts
grub.gcf
grub.cfg.rpmsave
grubx64.efi

step two I can do, resulting in creation of /mnt/sysimage/boot/efi/EFI/qubes/xen.efi

step 3 has me creating xen.cfg, with me adjusting the example for my files locations. Since I have the files in 2 different places how should I make the adjustment? What should xen.cfg look like for my setup? which folder shoulder have xen.cfg?

I tried making xen.cfg in /mnt/sysimage/boot/efi/EFI/qubes and ran step 4 but it didnt work, my mobo doesnt list qubes as a boot option

thanks in advance

Hi qubes-neurotic – welcome to the forum!

I think those steps were for Qubes OS r4.0 - version 4.1 and 4.2 uses GRUB as bootloader. I think you can reuse the steps from (one of the posts in):

thanks for the welcome
and thanks for the fix that did it.
