So I tried qvm-template-gui but I have the following error :

ERROR: qrexec call 'qubes.TemplateSearch' failed.

Can @qubes-team clarify, in the qvm-template-gui every so often a template appears as upgradable, with a new build date - despite the existing template being fully up-to-date according the Qubes Update Manager.
I’m assuming the new build date is as it says on the tin, it’s been built more recently.
Is there a difference btween a fully updated older build, and the new builds? (The term ‘upgradable’ indicates so).
If so, why isn’t Qubes Updater giving an option to upgrade the template, or doing it automatically?
Because upgrade isn’t always possible, and neither qvm-template-gui knows if it is.
I don’t understand your reply. Qvm-template-gui is showing that the template is ‘upgradable’. Can you be more descript?
For example, if you changed the size of your current template, you cannot upgrade or re-install it.
