Qubes os stuck after entry disk password

It seems like different sh**, because you were able to install things. This is where it’s stuck?

  • Did you already run some memory test?
  • How much disk space is available?
  • Is your data drive sane?
  • to be honest, I’m not even sure what it is.
  • i have 472 GB of space available.
  • i think so haha.
btw, imm experiencing the same issue on debian, but everything works fine on Linux Mint.

I would try this first. A lot of strange things can happen with faulty RAM.

Please use extended tests. No need to run for days, but hours would be fine.

What are your BIOS Settings for memory voltage/timing?
Is IOMMU configured?
What power supply do you use?

1 default xmp
2 by default enabled
3 MSI MPG A750GF 750W

Is it overclocked in any way? (Sorry, I don’t trust those gaming “features”.)

i before tested with xmp and no, nothing happens

If I understand correctly:

  • No overclocking.
  • No memtest errors.

i’m fxking mad at that my pc doesn’t work with qubes os

Then it seems to be a kernel/firmware issue if Debian stalls and LinuxMint works. What exact (kernel) versions did you try?

oh broski idk i o only press download qubes os and test media nothing more

4.2.4 version

But You said, that debian had the same problem while LinuxMint worked. What kernel was LinuxMint?

You can find out by opening some terminal and issueing

uname -ar

There seem to be some inconsistent BIOS quirks …

what is that

Kernel init log. Are you running virtualbox?

rn no.

How do you connect to network? Via that Ethernet-controller (realtek 8169)?
