I just suspended/resumed 10 times in a row and the wifi was still working on each resume. Actually, everything still works fine , no weird problems at all.
I can’t guarantee it won’t happen again, but last time I tried I would be sure to have triggered the issue at least once with this test. If it still happens, I guess it would be less often than before.
Agreed. I can totally see @novacustom dominating the security-oriented personal computer market with their laptop offerings. I, personally, appreciate to see such a service being offered at this quality level of professionalism. Keep on NovaCustom, you guys are making the world a better place.
@solene Sometime ago I received a NV41 device. I am using QubesOS on it now. Although, I am having two problems, which I would like to ask for your counsel:
suspend: how do I get it to sleep/suspend? When I press Fn + F12 (which is the sleep button with the moonman face), QubesOS’ screen shuts down, fickers on/off, and then when I move the mouse around and wake its screen and log back in, I get QubesOS notifies me that suspend/resume are not supported.
touchpad: I can’t get the tap to click work on QubesOS. So I have to manually press on the mechanical click buttons on the touchpad in order to conduct left/middle/right clicks. Is this normal, or am I missing some option settings?
Tap-to-click must be enabled manually in the Qubes OS settings manager. Go to the Qubes menu, then System Tools, then Mouse and Touchpad, look for Touchpad or select the touchpad device, then enable Tap touchpad to click.
Interesting, I see there is a module named system76_acpi that isn’t loaded by default, but in the sensors output it seems related to it. Loading that module and running sensors-detect didn’t help getting FAN back
This is correct, system76_acpi is no longer present since the Dasharo EC has been derived too much from the S76 EC, where a lot of EC code was based on.
@quber Please encourage the Dasharo firmware developers to introduce this feature:
I received my NovaCustom NV41 Laptop about 10 days ago, your review is amazing and it must have taken quite some time to write it so extensively. It was good to read.
I’m just playing around with mine at the moment and understand Qubes and how it all works better, all of the posts from all the different users are definitely helping also.
