Not familiar with Thinkpads, but if you want the bloatware out, is Windows Debloater (available from GitHub) an option? Versions for both wins 10 and 11. Every unfortunately-necessary ms installation I have for legacy programs gets debloated and then is free of copilot, cloud, etc.

That does sound good. But the problem is the npu. As I understand it the problem is windows copilot and pc. The npu is the problem, I was looking for a non npu laptop preferably Thinkpad. But from what i see there really is no new hardware without it and can’t support a 32gb ram.

Right, that is why the suggestion I provided is not new hardware, but it does not have an NPU either. As a consumer, you do not have any meaningful choice in the matter for every component at the silicon level using modern hardware.

“You will own nothing and be happy”. Well what can we do, even novacustom has put only ultra CPUs a big no no. Even this laptop the p51 I would buy only new but unfortunately is available only refurbished or used.

Some tough than nobody asked for: I’ve bought T14 gen3 i5-1245U because I’ve tough it will be cooler and as it have 16GB onboard I’ve bough 16GB 1Rx8 dimm to have dual channel 32GB.
Both assumptions was wrong.
Because this cpu have tdp 15W it’s slow and runs almost all the time on high freq. Upgraded it with dgpu version cooler but still it’s loud.
And 32GB would be enough just for YT and some forums reading and mail… I’ve bought 32GB 2Rx8 dimm module 2 weeks ago (now I have 48GB ram) and oh boy, should’ve done that in 2024 from start (it would be cheaper too).

You can make an informed decision considering all of the available information and options.

Correct, choose the lesser of evils.

Everybody in this forum educated people on cyber security just want 2 things. Fast and secure hardware. Now we have all kinds of extra bs bloatware mostly by Microsoft pushing the copilot down our throats.
