LG Gram 17 (2021) Model 17Z90P-K.AAB8U1
Intel i7-1165G7
16GB LPDDR4X RAM
1TB NVMe Storage
Qubes 4.1
REMARKS
-
Secure Boot in BIOS must be disabled prior to installing Qubes.
-
Audio did not work out of the box (no audio devices detected at all, only dummy devices shown). Updating to kernel-latest did not fix it either, but it was resolved by following alzer89’s helpful post #6 at Qubes Forums: Gaming Laptop No Sound Card, copied below:
1. Add the following parameters to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=... in /etc/default/grub: snd-intel-dspcfg.dsp_driver=1 2. Run sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/qubes/grub.cfg 3. Reboot, and you should have sound.
-
Suspend/restoring from sleep also does not work at all, with the laptop unable to come out of its suspended state. I have sleep/suspend disabled.
-
Network connectivity works fine. I have not tried to implement bluetooth.
