I could be wrong but the post linked below seems to explain how to construct the LVM structure instead of BTRFS. Also note that the last comment has updated instructions for 4.3 (just the edits)

I would assume just use this in place of the BTRFS part of the guide, but I haven’t tested or even read the post myself.
