Okay, I know this thread is like four or so years old now but I wanna post here anyway. Recently, I set up the Qubes OS Live Mode which, if you have the Kicksecure-18 template installed, creates a disposable RAM-based AppVM based on it.
And I just simply set that DispVM as the template for my service qubes.
I repeat, my service qubes template is a Kicksecure-based disposable RAM qube and, so far, they’ve been working just fine.
