What this is : hopefully a helpful resources for others. I compiled this resources for certain beginner problems I ran into on my way to switch all my fedora-xx template based qubes to fedora-xx-minimal template.
What this is not : a guide to tweak everything to the most minimal regarding RAM, CPU and HD usage.
Networking including wifi, usb, audio and video playback now works. Not surprising: most problems I ran into were due to missing packages.
Problems with networking in general:

Problem template asks for password when using sudo (passwordless-root):

Problem audio and/or video playback not working or very jerky:
I wanted to switch to minimal templates for two reasons: to see if it is possible and to improve my video (browser & dvd) playback, which is a bit jerky especially in horizontal moving scenes…

Video playback in firefox (in a fedora minimal qube) is even more jerky and slow as before (unwatchable even if I wait long), sometimes videos do not load at all and youtube recommends to restart the machine, something I have not seen before. When doing the same in a normal fedora (not minimal) qube …
Problem with installing from certain repositories (e.g. rpmfusion-free-release-tainted):

Doing “sudo dnf config-manager --set-enabled rpmfusion-free”, gives me
an error, “Error: No matching repo to modify: rpmfusion-free”.
This appears to be specific to the Fedora-xx-minimal template. I don’t
know why, can someone give me a pointer?
Fedora minimal will not include the rpmfusion-.repo file/repo because it’s supposed to be “minimal” while the rpmfusion are “extras”. You can of cou…
Did you follow instructions from the links I posted above? It’s all there
