External monitor stopped working after latest qubes release

My external monitor stopped working after the latest qubes dom0 update.

I had gpu passthrough sort of working. External monitor was working before and after i started gpu passthrough stuff. But ive noticed after the latest dom0 update that is no longer the case.

Normally id have to undo the rd.qubes.hide pci in grub for it to work. Now it doesnt work at all.

I even restored dom0 from prior to the latest update and it still doesnt work i have no idea why.

I tried installing xorg because i skipped the prior (had gpu passthrough working without xorg). But now my gpu standalone wont boot.

The gpu passthrough is not a huge issue. Right now my biggest priority is getting my external monitor back and running.

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Try using older kernel that worked for you before:

Ive tried all 3 options including the oldest one Xen 4.17.4 and linux 6.6.36-1

But it did not work. Should i try restoring dom0 from after the latest update?

I think i fixed it.

I updated dom0 to the latesr update.

Edited grub to remove hiding my dGPU and removed the pci devices from my GPU standalone

And then booted inXen 4.17.4 and linux 6.6.36-1 kernel.

Will experiment with other kernels

Iā€™m having the same issue. My dGPU was not hidden. My secondary monitor, connected to my dGPU stopped working. It was working before the update.
Booting into Xen 4.17.4 and linux 6.6.36-1 kernel solved the issue.

I had a similar issue with my external monitor after the latest update. I also found that booting into Xen 4.17.4 and the linux 6.6.36-1 kernel helped fix the problem. If anyone is still having trouble, I suggest trying that kernel. It worked for me.

Linux 6.6.48-1 does not work. I get a black screen

6.6.42-1 does work.

If it still doesnt work, might have to consider switching from switchable graphics to discrete
