Wireless very slow on another qubes machine - how to investigate

I have AX211 wireless controller as well, but with different VID:PID (different revision?) and I don’t have this problem.
I’ve tried to use debian-12-xfce template for sys-net with firmware-linux package installed from bookworm-backports and different kernels: 6.1, 6.6, 6.11 - all of them worked fine.
Maybe your specific revision of AX211 wireless controller has some issue with Xen or with passthrough to a VM in general.

I don’t see anything relevant in the log.

Let me try with debian as by default sys-net is using fedora

Strange … If I’ll try to use debian template, it will say no network devices available and the only available option is to add VPN

You need to add bookworm-backports repository:

deb https://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-backports main contrib non-free-firmware

To /etc/apt/sources.list, then run:

sudo apt update

And install firmware-iwlwifi package from bookworm-backports repository:

sudo apt install -t bookworm-backports firmware-iwlwifi

Or use in-VM kernel 6.1 with firmware-iwlwifi package from stable by seting sys-net kernel to (provided by qube).

Unfortunatelly the speed is same

Where I can download OS 4.3 to test it?
Maybe a higher Xen version will resolve my problem

I don’t see a download link anywhere

Unfortunatelly same result

I guess you can try to passthrough it in KVM in general Linux distro to check if it’s an issue with passthrough in general or with Xen specifically.
If it’s an issue with Xen then you can try to report it on Qubes OS github or/and in Xen matrix channel.
If it’s a general issue with passthrough then you can report it to kernel mailing list.

Uh, just tried a fedora workstation and the internet is even worse.

Loojs like, unfortunatelly, I’m stuck with Ubuntu for the moment.
I’ll have VMs on it so I’ll check the internet speed and came back. Thank you

Check the kernel versions and firmware used in Ubuntu and in Fedora Workstation.

Oh boy, I’m so stupid
Founded the problem
It is because of my router wuth openwrt on it
For one laptop it gives 400Mbs and for the other one 8Mbs (as now)

Tried tethering with phone and the qubes can actually go above 100Mbs via phone

I need a better/powerfull router

Spend 3 days to discovered I’m stupid

Thank you for your assistance

Its not neccesarry just this
I disconnected anything from the router and there the rx is at 650Mbs but the laptop doesn’t go above 20Mbs

On 2.4Ghz it is working better, around 70Mbs

It is what it is, in the end I guess its an issue with wifi card
