I’ve created a standalone Windows 10 HVM with QWT installed and when I attach a ~16.4 TiB mdadm raid disk it appears in Windows as ~131.9 TiB and I am unable to initialise it. I’ve attached other smaller disks successfully but what I note is different about this disk is that the logical & physical cluster size is 4096, 8 times bigger than 512 for the other disks that attach successfully. I notice this correlates with Windows thinking the disk is 131.9 TiB, roughly being 8 times bigger than the disk actually is.
I know there is a gap in my knowledge around this sector size difference and i’d appreciate all explainers and solutions around this!
