Wifi can't connect to wifi but connects to hotspot

I would appreciate any help as I’ve been troubleshooting it for several days now.

I run 4.2.4 Qubes OS, no sys-usb. When trying to connect to Wi-Fi it would disconnect with “ssid-not-found” error, it also logs that “(wifi) association took too long, failing activation.” Connecting to hot-spot works.

Mobo runs wifi6, router and ISP is ATT. I also consider to try Wi-Fi dongle.

I found following recommendations that worked for a very similar issue but I couldn’t achieve second part of it with my router:
Deactivate IPV6 on your router (or update the router’s firmware)
Deactivate 802.11N on your router (or update the router’s firmware)

What does the output of dmesg say in sys-net?
And is there any chance we can know more about your wifi NIC? If you’re unsure, the output of lspci in sys-net would be very useful in determining what I think is a firmware issue…

This might mean that it’s not related to your device firmware at all, and rather your wifi infrastructure. If this is the case, we can’t do much to help you, unfortunately…

A good test to see if this is the case is to try and connect to another SSID. If it does, then your infrastructure is the issue.

dmesg:

send auth to * (try 1/3)
send auth to * (try 2/3)
send auth to * (try 3/3)
authentication with * timed out

Info I found about my NIC:

Wi-Fi 6E
2x2 Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
Supports 2.4/5GHz frequency band

I can connect to that Wi-Fi from any other device and also this very PC. Issue arises solely when trying to connect on Qubes OS.

Network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7921K (RZ608) Wi-Fi 6E 80MHz

I tried to connect to another SSID under the same ISP but different router, problem persists.
