When upgrading qubes, does the template have to be backed up and restored together? Because when the template is in debian12 to 13, it is transferred to the new qubes, taking qubes4.3 as an example. Because the debian13 template is used in the end, the original debian12 restoration seems to be meaningless, because the data is saved in the appvm, so is it just a matter of restoring the appvm? Can anyone explain the principle?
If you customized the template qube, you might want to back it up. If not, using the option ignore missing templates and net VMs will allow you to restore any app qube. See:
