What to do after moving template from Qubes 4.1 to 4.2?

Dear Qubes Community,

I switched from Qubes 4.1 to 4.2. If I restore a Debian 11 gnome template backup, what else do I need to do? Do I have to adjust the path for updates?

Nope. Should work from scratch I think. All other is set in the system (4.2) I think.

You need to run the following script to update the template to 4.2:

Qubes 4.2 does not support Debian 11 templates (source), so you should upgrade your Debian templates.

Should I run this script inside the debian 11 template? Nothing more?

Really? But a debian 11 template is installable in Qubes 4.2.

You should probably upgrade to Debian 12 first, as @adw suggested. Debian 11 was recently removed from the package building process, which means it is a few versions behind on some packages.
