Hi,

I would like to know, what are your most-missed-features in QubesOS right now?

With this thread I don’t want to complain about the development or the decisions made by the developer! I only want to know, which features are important for other users to make QubesOS the best of the best!

**The problem you're addressing (if any)** After reviewing all of the feedback …received against the **[Bessie](https://www.qubes-os.org/attachment/survey/tour-bessie.webm)** and **[Jackie](https://www.qubes-os.org/attachment/survey/tour-jackie.webm)** app menu options presented to users in #6573 and in interviews with trainers, _Valentina_ was established as a design direction—based off the [Cinnamon menu](https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-menus). The prioritization of features and form-factor/interaction-model choices were all based on user feedback. Cinnamon was picked as an existing menu to base the new Qubes app menu upon, for the following reasons: 1. It is an artifact that already exists, and elegantly supports both Light/Dark themes, as well as other DE themes. 2. Cinnamon has been praised for its high usability, and its core interaction patterns and keyboard navigation are well resolved. **Describe the solution you'd like** This issue was created to consolidate discussion, needs, and implementation actions around the building of the design direction _Valentina_. In the [most recent study](http://arxiv.org/abs/1510.08555) on why OpenPGP mail …clients are difficult to use, the authors highlighted the usefulness of having integrated tutorials in a product. I think we should explore having an integrated tutorial for first-time users. This could run after the installation wizard or be a desktop icon for whenever the user is interested in running it, somehow walking the user through doing useful workflows in Qubes.

Do you mean secure boot? If that’s the case it is explained in the the FAQ why it’s not supported.

Or do you mean as in a safe boot mode in that all non-essential components are disabled?

I seems some of the crritique does not apply (use of your own keys instead of ditro keys, etc)

Some of the xen lack os support is, apparently, being addressed.
Of course, Qubes team has a lot on their hands, and this requires some work, so, let’s be patient.
Of course, if storage domain were outside dom0, this would be simpler, but again, some work…
I would like this, because I do not like anti-evil maid has to expose dom0 to USB - thats the way it is wright now. I find USB atacks creepy
Right now, the real solution to this is HEADS bios, that works for R4.0
Besides, legacy boot is, apparently, phasing out. UEFI is on the rise and has no advantages (security-wise). If safe boot was possible, I woul switch to UEFI on non-HEADS machines.
