Hello, what about using Mac, to installe properly QUBES OS 4. and especially this version

Do you have a solution/suggestions/hint wrt. getting the WiFi (“BCM4350 802.11ac”) working on a MacBook Pro - A1708?

My sys-net keeps getting:

brcmfmac: brcmf_chip_recognition: SB chip is not supported
brcmfmac: brcmf_pcie_probe: failed 14e4:43a3

so I need to add an USB network device (Wireless or ethernet) to get it online . :-/

Running a Fedora or similar from a USB-stick has no issue … :frowning:

i use another Mac …( i don’t need Wi Fi in this case); until this verssion 4.2 using qubes for each day is possible …( for me)

My Qubes OS 4.2 now have working WiFi on the MacBook Pro - A1708! :slight_smile:

Following the advice in No network connection - #26 by DVM I got WiFi working by:

  1. Stop sys-net

  2. Remove the Network Card from sys-net by running

    qvm-pci detach sys-net dom0:02_00.0

    in dom0

  3. Add the Network Card back, with permissive and no-strict-reset by running:

    qvm-pci attach --persistent --option permissive=True --option no-strict-reset=True sys-net dom0:02_00.0

    in dom0

  4. Start sys-net
