Wakes up immediately after suspend

Every time I suspend, the computer wakes itself up after ~2 seconds. When I was trying to diagnose it, I found that the issue isn’t here if I use qubes.skip_autostart when booting. So I thought the issue is related to sys-usb but I don’t know how to further diagnose it (doesn’t seem to be any useful information from dmesg)

It occurs every time I update dom0 and used to go away after rebooting with skip autostart, but it doesn’t go away this time

Some random ideas:

Normally, you have autostart enabled for sys-net and sys-usb. You could change it in the settings for each one. It may give a clue.

There are probably settings in the BIOS/EFI setup to choose which devices can wake the computer.

Historically, Wake-on-LAN gave problems on some motherboards, but it is always (?) disabled by default. A faulty mouse or other device can send wakeup events.

Did you check the HCL? Maybe someone already had same problem.

Listing the computer brand and model can be helpful since other owners can chime in

It’s a Dell Optiplex 9020, and the HCL doesn’t mention any issues with it

Okay I’ll have a look in the BIOS

Nothing really helped for the past 2 weeks, but after upgrading to 4.3 it magically starts to work again

This same thing happens to me with faulty USB pointing devices usually. Never with a keyboard.

May I ask how did you solve it? It just randomly started appearing again

Hm, have you tried playing with the acpi settings:

Interesting, I’ve messed a bit with acpi settings but not that in depth, I’ll have a look
