Virtualizing within a VM: Current Status

What is the current status of virtualizing within a VM?

With VirtualBox or KVM I can pretend to be system with small ram and small screen and many devices. I can be great liar. But not in Qubes.

VirtualBox sneaks in closed-source code by suggesting add-ons that may be backdoor or not since no one audit code and KVM is not as easy experience as Qubes. Can Qubes use KVM or VirtualBox?

Nested virtualization is not supported by Xen currently:

Hey @marmarek Can you give pointers to current bugs and qubes tickets to follow explaining why Xen is broken and not support this? I’m testing Heads development on top of qemu under a standard qube and as you know, qemu tcg is used since KVM cannot. I would love to know and be able to tackle the issues upstream and tracking current state would be helpful. Feel free to move subject to proper category

There’s something in there about installing Proxmox. Can that be done as a way of spoofing machine specifications?
