USB qube holding all USB controllers: Just like the network qube for the network stack, the USB qube isolates the USB controllers

On a fresh installation, the default:

Create USB qube holding all USB controllers: Just like the network qube for the network stack, the USB qube isolates the USB controllers.

has not been changed but neither a Service: sys-usb is created nor does a USB section appear under the Devices icon.

All USB ports are working for all Qubes which is not desirable.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have USB keyboard/mouse?

Thanks. :slightly_smiling_face: That fixed it. By creation of the USB controller, it will ask for adding the mouse to it upon next boot which is very useful! A short mention in the documentation might help others.

On every boot, the system asks to add the usb-mouse to sys-usb which has the keyboard working. In fact, one has to go through the dialouge twice using the keyboard.

How to avoid it? The following command does not exist.

sudo qubesctl state.sls qvm.usb-mouse
