USB keyboards in Qubes 4.2 (temporarily or specifically allow a usb keyboard, no need for LUKS/Login support)

It seems that the wiki is outdated, as /etc/qubes-rpc/policy/qubes.InputKeyboard
(USB qubes | Qubes OS) does not exist in dom0. I added the “ask”-line from the wiki to /qubes.USB (over the any any deny rule) - now I do no longer get the “keyboard denied” notification, but nevertheless its inputs does not show up.
adding this to /etc/qubes-rpc/qubes.InputKeyboard (without the policy subfolder) doe snot seem to change anything.

If I try sudo usbguard list-devices in dom0 I am told “ERROR: IPC connect: service=usbguard: Connection refused”. the usb qube does not even know the usbguard command. (How to whitelist specific USB keyboard (USBGuard)?)

I need to correct my previous post: the USB keyboard did work now, but only in sys-usb.
after fixing a typo in default_target I get a “Do you want to allow” window. However the operation listed there is qubes.InputMouse, even though its a keyboard and it does not have a touchpad or a joystick.

simple solution: In 4.2 there is a setting in Qubes Global Config. Should be denoted on top of the usb wiki page …
