Upgraded to whonix 16. Now XFCE errors. Memory Balancing fail. Can't type

Thank you for creating qubes.

I have upgraded to whonix 16. I left whonix 15. I used the new whonix for a few hours without problem. After reboot next day XFCE is not loading properly. Workspaces don’t load. Only shows 1 work space. When checking workspace settings it says I have 8 workspaces. But only one shows in toolbar. Top of window manger where you can click to exit window or minimize or maximize is now gone.

Also opening qubes manager shows dom 0 running at 4000 MB, sys-net running at 4000 MB, and sys-whonix running at 4000 MB. This is after fresh boot and no other VMs running. I have never seen this before.

I tried to open dom 0 terminal. I cannot type in the terminal.

I’m not sure how to troubleshoot. Also whonix install may be unrealted. But system was fine before this.

Thanks for the help.

I would recommend a full-reinstall from a qubes iso install image.
