All of this was discussed thoroughly in the past. As I can reacll that is how we got update GUI window in v4.2.
But, I think what is overlooked here is that Qubes OS (meaning the devs) is not about anonymity, but about security. So, it’s your full responsibility to provide yourself with anonymity under Qubes, as under any other OS. Nobody related to Qubes promised anonymity ever.
