Not surprised. The “unlocking x86 god mode” presentations from previous hacker conferences have shown this to be possible with the right arsenal.

Even if they do exist, it does not mean they work. You can destroy things, It happens to my machines every so often in times of local unrest but to completely take over of a complex OS like Qubes is unlikely. If you did not experience a tri-state (quantum) attack followed by a supercomputer SSD scan, you are missing out on cyber-life. I used to get them every couple of month, I did not get one in 2 years (bigger fish to fry probably).
