Torified debian updates?

Did anyone notice that Debian onion servers are highly unreliable? Outages are unpredictable and may last for days (and I remember at least once this year it lasted more than a week)

I would treat the onion mirrors as a reliability bonus, not as the only path. If updates are security-relevant and the onion endpoint is down for days, I would first confirm it is not a local Tor circuit/DNS issue, then temporarily switch that template back to the normal Debian mirror through sys-whonix or your usual update VM. That still keeps the traffic separated from the template, but avoids waiting on one hidden service. Also check that apt is not pinned to only one onion host; a single source line makes these outages look worse than they are.

Sure it is not Tor circuit issue: Qubes own repos are fully accessible.

Everything seems fine on my end.

Now, yes. Was down for several hours.
