I’ve never used Tor and haven’t enabled it in Qubes yet. Are there any drawbacks to using it? Will my bank or others freak out if I try to log in via Tor?
By accessing your bank account over tor, you are identifying yourself via the bank. They will log your IP and you’ll essentially be de-anonymized. Any connection after that with the same tor IP could be associated with you if three-letter agencies were interested in finding out who was behind the IP. The idea behind tor is to remain anonymous. If you need to identify yourself with anything connected to you in the real world, just use the clearnet.

You maybe can’t even log in since Tor exit IPs are blocked in many cases. Or the website will see that you look different and ask for additional information(2FA codes)/block your account temporarily.
