Hi,

I’ve read that in a thread regarding Firefox

Do you guys still use a third-party cloud synchronized account recording personal data (and potentially confidential data) while using QubesOS?
Not kidding?

Just for fun, of course: you are free to do as you like, I don’t mind.

I stopped using any of these when [[re]] understood [[again]] what it means [[since I am —very— old enough to know we can live without that “shit” and “real and huge threat for essential human rights”]].

I still use a couple of free third-party cloud services, with caution, for “using them” but certainly not the reverse (yes, as an “opportunist”).
Totally decoupled from my REAL business and / or life.

I stay very, very careful to never depend on them for anything essential and, if I was (again) a decision maker for businesses, I would forbid their use and block access from the corporate network.

As the proverb says:

“If you don’t know why, I do.”

Beside that joke, I have never used any browser forced accounts. And never will.

Those things are the ‘evil’ in those ‘free’ products, even if it’s marketing describe it as a cool feature for us…
