Thunar cannot mount device attached to AppVM

After I add a device to an AppVM, it doesn’t show up in the devices section of Thunar. I have to open the console and mount it manually. What can I do to fix this?

I believe the issue is that it is not detected as a device when running gio mount --list, devices which show up when running that command can be mounted in Thunar, but my device does not do that.

It is a normal block device with a file system on it.

Separate question, what can I do to automatically mount it when attached if no one can solve this issue?

Edit->Preferences->Advanced Tab
Enable Volume Management
Configure → Mount removable when hot-plugged
Configure → Mount removable when inserted

Works in Debian template based qubes.
