The sound on my usb headphones is anoyingly quiet

Hi everyone.
Not a massive deal this but it’s a bit irksome.

I have a set up usb gaming headphones that are great on windows and another linux system I have, but on qubes they output sound very quietly. I have the sound turned up to max on the widget.

They are found by the sys usb and conected to vault

Any insight on how to make it louder?

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the device to vault or a different AppVM to see if the issue is reproducible.

Sorry, I meant to say that in the initial post. It’s the same on all qubes. Still audible but quiet

Install and run pavucontrol program in the qube in which you are playing audio, in the last tab, try to see if you can change your USB headset mode.

I’ve tried that. I only have one hardware device listed “dummy Output”

Cracked it!

Just so it’s all documented and helps others, I was a moron and when I checked the audio manager of the qube I was listening on the headphones I found the device and was able to crank up the volume.
Before I was trying to do it globally in dom0 so needless to say it didnt work lol
