Recently a (problematic) user of the forum went on a spamming spree. I saw 33 posts flagged posts in total in my review queue. These were flagged by various users. If topics are flagged by various long-time users or by a leader (trust level 4), they get hidden until a moderator deals with them (either approving or disapproving).
Usually the mod team is lenient. We prefer to encourage people to increase the quality of their contributions and respect everyone else. Leading by example is a much better approach (I believe) than having an iron fist.
