Sys-whonix: running but disabled

Hello

I have (i believe) a current fully upgraded version of qubes and its been working perfectly for a long time now, but I just noticed yesterday that if i check tor status using the Time Synchronization Monitor icon then the status of tor is running but disabled. It also provides information to rectify this but (and i am no expert on this) tor seems to be working perfectly. I also seem to remember that this is new to my system and every other time i have checked this it has indicated that tor is running.

So the question is, What is the default behavior. Do i leave it as it is or do set the DisableNetwork option in the torrc file to 0. I am also interested as to why this has happened. I wonder if it was some time ago when I upgraded my debian-13 template, and I just haven’t noticed it.

I had the same thing happen.

Menu item “Whonix” → “Tor control panel” → Button “Configure” → Drop down menu “Bridges type” → “enable network” → Button “Accept”.

Tor is running and comes back with VM restarts.

That has restored it to what i had before.

Just out of curiosity when the working but disabled message appears. Does that mean that tor was not working?
