Sys-usb does not start when USB device is connected

Hello,

running R4.2.3 with kernel 6.6.63-1 on Dell Latitude 5400. On boot, if there is USB hub connected (regular Anker USB-A hub) and it has any device plugged (for example USB drive), sys-usb is not started automatically. When I run it manually, after some time there is popup “sys-usb can’t start, look at /var/log/xen/console/guest-sys-usb.log for more information”. The file shows messages like “usb 3-4: Failed to set U1 timeout to 0x0,error code -113”.
If I plug the USB drive directly, I can start sys-usb successfully.

Anyone experiencing similar issues? I found several similar topics on the forum, but nothing says what I can do to fix it. I tried increasing the qube memory to 1000mb, but to no avail.

Regards

Does sys-usb start automatically/normally after logging in without the Anker hub connected?

It does start, yes. It’s also starting if there is nothing plugged in the hub.

Okay, try connecting with a different USB port on the Dell Latitude and/or the Anker hub and see if the issue persists.

Seems the dongle for wireless mouse is making problems, when it’s plugged during boot. I will try with another mouse vendor, thanks for the tips!
