SOLVED: Varlibqubes is 99.5% full after installing and migrating Qubes to 4.3

I wiped my main machine and installed Q4.3. I imported all of my Qubes (about 1TB worth, about 170 Qubes). The drive is a 2TB drive. Total disk usage reads 57%.

qvm-pool list shows

NAME DRIVER
varlibqubes	file
linux-kernel	linux-kernel
vm-pool lvm_thin

qvm-pool info vm-pool shows:

name vm-pool
driver lvm_thin
ephemeral_volatile	False
revisions_to_keep	2
size 1775948005376
thin_pool vm-pool
usage 1015131879872
volume_group qubes_dom0

For a qube I imported, qvm-volume list <oldQube> shows:

POOL:VOLUME
vm-pool:qubes_dom0/vm-......

But for a Qube I’ve created since the new install, it shows:

POOL:VOLUME
varlibqubes:appvms/QubeName/private

So I think this is the source of the problem, but I’m not sure what I did wrong to make this happen. Can anyone tell me and hopefully how to fix it?

du -h in /var/lib/qubes shows 14G.

The warning triangle in the upper-right of the XFCE top bar shows varlibqubes “data” is at 99.6% or 19.4GiB/19.5Gib

Possible related? I notice that I get a memory warning when opening several Qubes. I didn’t run into this with Q4.2 at the same number of open Qubes. 32GB RAM on the machine, and it’s been my reliable working machine for some time. Of course I don’t know if that problem is related.

Any ideas where to start troubleshooting or how to fix this?

Thank you.

Figured it out. When I created a Qube, I must have accidentally set it to use varlibqubes instead of the default _vm_pool) and it was a large Qube, so it brought me to 99.5%. I don’t understand the whole varlibqubes thing, and I can’t find good documentation, so that’s annoying. But anyway it’s fixed.
