I installed Qubes OS 4.1 with Fedora 34 template using the official iso. I have replaced the Fedora 34 template by the Fedora 35 minimal template. And the Qubes updater has automatically updated the templates.
However, the updater has never asked me for the permission to update dom0 for like a week.
Am I supposed to update dom0 manually for once?
Continuing the discussion from Understanding "Qubes Updater" :
Upon reading this thread , I decided to run manually a full update (all templates + Dom0). To my surprise, Dom0 updated linux-firmware new: 20211216 old: 20200122, and linux-firmware-whence new: 20211216 old: 20200122, and many other updates. Does this mean that updates were available for 3 months, but the Qubes Updater failed to find that?
Also, is there a simple command to manually run Qubes Updater for all available templates + Do…

Yes, you need to manually update dom0.
This will fix the issue of the updater not showing updates for dom0.
Afterwards, you should use the updater - if the updater (seems to) work
but you still see updates due for dom0 , then manually update dom0 as
well.
I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum or in the mailing lists I speak for myself.
I did the following:
Run the ‘Qubes Update’ app
Click the checkbox for ‘Enable updates for qubes without known available updates’
Click the checkbox for dom0
Click next
And then the updater updates a bunch of packages in dom0, including xen stuff.
