Screen sharing in Qubes OS

Hi,

What is the actual most recommend way to do screen sharing in Qubes OS ?

I was reading about " Qubes Video Companion " ( GitHub - QubesOS/qubes-video-companion " ; sudo qubes-dom0-update qubes-video-companion-dom0 " in Dom0 ; " sudo dnf install qubes-video-companion " in AppVM ). Is it safe to do / use ?

Hi

It is developed by the same people doing Qubes OS, so if you trust them it’s safe.

If you just want to use already existing video conferencing tools like:
Teams, Webex, slack, etc

They works out of the box. The only - positive - limitation comes from Qubes, that those only see their own (virtual) AppVM’s screen.
Means you can not share dom0 and your entire physical screen, but only the application windows you run from the same AppVM
