I have a saltstack configuration where packages are linked to app qubes in the pillar. How can I install them in the template? I figure that I need to have a way to be able to get the qubes that are based on a template using a sls file that is running on the template itself.
If I understand you have a pillar storing applications per qube, but you
are not storing qube/template information in the pillar.
The Template does not know what qubes are based on it.
management qubes have this information.
Outwith your intervention Salt does not.
