Hi,
Would it be possible for us (the Qubes community) to see the summarized results of the recent survey and possibly know how it affects the project direction/priorities/milestones?
Hi,
Would it be possible for us (the Qubes community) to see the summarized results of the recent survey and possibly know how it affects the project direction/priorities/milestones?
yeah i’d be interested in it too ![]()
The survey is still ongoing. It hasn’t even closed yet.
Ah ok. I thought it was finished when I saw the post. No rush then.
You should keep it ongoing. I still haven’t take it but I plan to. I just don’t have 30 mins at the moment.
The survey will remain open for two more weeks:
more like 10
Thanks. To be honest, I always forget to do it when opening browser, and later too lazy to log out to fill it in. Why not allowing me to click on the link while logged in? My choice, especially I am already anonymous while logged in (yep, only tor) ![]()
lets please not start it. there is another thread on mouse anonymization that is just flame wars at this point xD
Its always like when I see it that topic wasn’t completely uninteresting, but its just bollocks at this point lol
also I think I took it while logged in, but not sure
If it wasn’t for @adw’s Reminder post I wouldn’t see the link elsewhere while logged in…
Now my kb and mouse sexy dancing moves can be safely collected…
Well, it looks you were too modest with your wishes ![]()
I am asking about whenever it completes.
Sorry, I don’t understand. What do you mean? Logged out/in to what? This forum?
Is there some kind of quirk with the forum software (Discourse) not allowing you to click links in banner announcements while logged in for some reason? If so, this is the first I’m hearing about it.
Never mind anymore. I did it via topic you posted. I had a banner previous to log in, and after log in to forum no banner. If it should be there even after log in it’s possible at early point I just turned it off without reading what it was about considering my natural reaction to banners in general. ![]()
I just thought if you click it while logged in it’s not anonymous anymore because it could be traced to the account.
So, after all the unmoderated off-topic and thread hijacking, will there be an answer to the main question?
Yes, it should be.
That’s probably what happened. After you close it, it doesn’t come back. (This is intentional, so as to minimize the annoyance for people who have already taken it or who just don’t want to see it.)
No, that’s not the case.
Survey results from previous years have been shared:
How it affects the project, I don’t think this can be answered before the survey closes and the results are compiled. Even after the results are compiled, I don’t think there will be a single text describing how each point impacts Qubes’ development, as it is a long game (~6 years since previous survey), issues related to the survey will be solved along the years, and mentions that it was chosen because of the survey might not be explicit. Sometimes it is not a 1-1 parity of survey result to issue, but the survey might help the developer make informed decisions.
Thank you.

Sure. I asked about after.

I didn’t mean to compare with previous surveys but rather to know what will change as a result of the current one. E.g. “we planned to implement feature X first but now that users want Y, we will prioritize that for version 4.something”.
Those results share more than modest info. A few statistics and a happiness we took it.
To me these surveys start to look as taking photos from workshops as a part of the report to get paid.
It took me much more time to take the survey than to read previous results. I took it really seriously, but I am not sure if this one will look the same, I will take any other in the future.
Is it intended, that the survey banner is still visible on the forum when not logged in?
