Restore from Qubes backup bricks machine

Restoring backup vms (all except dom0) from one Q4.1 machine to another one fails. The restore process finishes successfully, I even test some of the critical vms to make sure they run properly. But as soon as I reboot and the machine starts to load up:

EXT-fs error (device dm-4) ext4_journal_check_start 83 : detected aborted

Remounting file system read only

And it just hangs. I have wipes and restore twice now two different backups and same problem.

dm-4 is a raid device?

If so try checking the status of the raid, it could be a problem with the drive.
