The binary drivers will not work with Qubes R2 Beta 2?
If this is true I hope this can change, nouveau has terrrible support compared to the binary drivers…

Ok so I read Vanilla kernel, so QubeOS can change this from Vanilla to a QubeOS custom Xen kernel and this can work? Or not matter what the Xen kernel can’t work?
If this can’t work I can’t use QubeOS with my laptop the nouveau causes the GPU to run to hot also making to much heat for CPU on my laptop. I even spoke to nouveau people about this, nouveau has bad thermal support.

No, xenlinux kernel is no longer supported (AFAIR ended at 2.6.18 or so).
There is some forward-ported version done by Suse, but there are thousands
patches we don't want.
In fact I haven't tried nvidia binary drivers for a long time, perhaps nvidia
fixed it. So quick check ...and it's working (at least on one quite old
hardware) 
I've just updated the instruction, but you need wait a moment, as apparently
our kernel-devel package is broken... I'm just recompiling it for 3.9.2 and
3.11.1. Anyone interested in other versions?

I've heard that they finally had done support for fan control (but not enabled
by default). I hope that things are going in the right direction.
BTW Have you tried 3.11.1? Perhaps there are more improvements...

FYI: I got errors trying to compile for 3.11.1-2 but 3.9.2-2 worked so I’ll stick with that…
3.9x have some serious issues you don’t want to put 3.9x into a distro!
PLEASE either stick to LTS 3.10x or the stable branch of 3.11x
What errors are we talking about?
I mean you no offense, but I’ve compiled kernels for close to 15 years and I’ve never had one kernel ever not compile.
The smartest thing to do here for QubeOS is stick to the LTS 3.10x branch.
