Having technical problem with Qubes-Task-Gui errors. Posted in reply under general, but still no suggestions. This is unofficial @unman application that can install VMs. It seems to download file, but I am unable to locate it, including using thunar in dom0, and can’t install it.

After running it:

qubes-task-gui
Using sys-whonix as UpdateVM to download updates for Dom0; this may take some time…
*** ERROR while receiving updates:
Error canonicalizing /var/tmp/qubes-updates-tmpb_velomxz.UNTRUSTED/3isec-qubes-sys-multimedia-2.1-1.fc32.x86_64.rpm
→ if you want to use packages that were downloaded correctly, use dnf directly now

Getting errors during sh to download:

qubes-task-gui

In [sys-whonix] sh, I get errors:

“Unable to detect release version (use ‘–releasever’ to specify release version)”
It lists repositories, and downloads successfully
then:
"Installing:
3i-sec-qubes-cacher…
3i-sec-qibes-sys-vpn
Get error that they are already downloaded
Then “NO KEY” error:
warning: /var/lib…/3isec-qbes-cacher…rpm: Header… Key ID… NO KEY
“Key imported successfully
Complete!”
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful transaction.
‘usr/lib/qubes/qrexec-client-vm dom-0 qubes.ReceiveUpdates /usr/lib/qubes/qfile-agent /var/lib/qubes/dom0-updates/pacakages/*rpm’ failed with exit code 1
Fetching update failed with code 1; press Enter to exit
Fetching update failed with code 1

Also CLI qubes-task lists multiple versions of same VM:

The application will download the chosen package, and install it.
As part of the install process, a new template may be installed, and
qubes created and configured. This is explained for each package on the
“Details” button.
If you are using the CLI or GUI tool you dont need to install the
package manually.

It’s a prerequisite that you have installed my key as explained on this
page:
https://qubes.3isec.org/tasks.html

The error message you cite suggests that you haven’t yet done that in
dom0.

i added it to dom0 before but not to to the keyring!
