I’ve set up a public repo iasds/qubes-os-skills (GitHub - iasds/qubes-os-skills: Community-driven SKILL.md collection for Qubes OS — contribute your qrexec, VM management, networking, and security skills for AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, OpenCode, etc.) · GitHub) collecting SKILL.md files for Qubes OS, so that AI agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, etc.) can actually operate Qubes correctly instead of treating it like a regular Linux system.
The format is the standard SKILL.md that most coding agents support natively.
Right now it’s a skeleton — 7 categories (basics, VM admin, qrexec, networking, security, storage, HVM), waiting for content.
I can’t fill it all myself — I need your experience.
If you’ve ever fought with:
- Custom qrexec services + dom0 policy (lots of sharp edges)
- bind-dirs persistence gotchas
- Template → AppVM sync after updates
- nftables firewall quirks on Qubes
- PCI / GPU passthrough steps
- Anything that took you an afternoon to figure out
Please write it up as a Skill and open a PR. It’s just a Markdown file with YAML frontmatter — the README has a full template.
Reply here or open a new thread, either works.
