Hi fellow qubers
Long time reader, first time poster
A salt-enabled AdminVM can be created with a Fedora-based template to run /usr/bin/qubesctl
, but not it seems using a Debian-based template.
The qubes-mgmt-salt
repo includes rpm_spec/qubes-mgmt-salt.spec.in
to produce qubes-mgmt-salt-admin-tools
rpm packages that include /usr/bin/qubesctl
and the qubessalt
python package.
There are no equivalent instructions in debian/
to build a qubes-mgmt-salt-admin-tools
deb package and hence no package available in the deb repo.
I haven’t found any other threads on this forum or any issue tracking this.
Could there be some reason(s) why qubesctl and qubessalt are available for rpm but not deb? If it is possible but just overlooked, should I simply open a new issue at qubes-issues?
thanks, Sam
