I do not know how to debug this, but I cannot use my mouse to do anything. It shows up on the screen, but it is not interacting with any qube window nor the panel on the top of the desktop. Thankfully I remembered the hotkey alt+f1 to navigate apps, and I could find my way to logging in here. Is there something I should look at in dom0 that could be the root cause?
Note, this only started happening on a fresh bootup, it did not start happening during a previous boot session. I am not using a USB mouse, this is the normal touchpad of my laptop. The keyboard is working, and the mouse is displayed to the screen. But as I said none of the clicking is working.
Edit 3: I have just learned I can use xdotool click 1 in dom0 to send mouse clicks. So I can move my mouse with the trackpad, and click with this method, just not click with my actual hardware
