Qubes 4.3 - trying to undertand what is best way to attach single partition on usb drive to a qube

Previously in 4.2 there was an option to either mount whole drive or single partition but in 4.3 this was removed. I can see my drive under “USB Storage” category listed as sys-usb:3-3. Is the best course of action to assign this drive to new disposable qube and then to attach partition to my destination qube?

I think that options has not been removed. If I use the widget I see a
“Block Storage” section showing the partitions. Do you not see this?
Similarly, in qvm-block output I see the drive and its partitions.

It would be interesting to find why you do not see this. What template is
your sys-usb based on? How is your drive partitioned, and how are they
formatted?

Not the case. Block devices are broken out at the top (i just attached a /dev/sdb2 a minute ago)

Is it true/are you sure that there is not the USB parent device down at the bottom of the widget?

I thought I checked both 4.2 & 4.3 before this question :

My main USB storage shows under the name of the maker of the SATA USB converter… so not easy to identify, but it is there, lonely and dislocated from its babies.
[Edit:]
Question for @freeflow : are you able to see the name of the USB device for your partition(s) -anywhere in the widget?

Maybe it can help to open terminal in sys-usb, and run lsusb only to find the name.
