Recently I did an update and rebooted and walked away and when I came back there was a prompt on the screen for my disk password but without the usual GUI. It was just a VT-style text interface. I did a hard reboot and when it came back up it prompted for the disk password in a GUI as it usually does. Normal?
Boot Qubes OS and on first password prompt (LVM encryption) press HOME button. You should see the text password prompt. Is it the same as what you saw?
