Hello,
I’m trying to install QubeOs on my PC, but , during installation, i get the message:
[‘/usr/bin.qvm-start’,‘sys-firewall’] failed:
stdout:
stderr:“Cannot connect to qrexec agent for 60 seconds”
I tried to install several times the OS, and always the same message.
Because of this, I can’t use sys-net to update the packages.
Probably you have a problem with one of the PCI network controllers attached to sys-net.
Did you have correct time in BIOS when you installed Qubes OS? Not something like a month or more in the past.
Are you able to start vault qube?
Try to use fedora template for sys-net if you use debian template.
Remove the PCI network controllers attached to sys-net one by one and try to start sys-net to find out if it’s a problem with one specific PCI network controller.
Time is correct.
Vault qube is able to be started.
I only installed Fedora.
There is only one PCI network controlled is the list of devices : “Network Controller: Realtek Semiconductor CO.,Ltd…Wireless network adapter”.
When I remove it, no message error.
So, I can’t use internet on QubesOS ?
It’s a problematic RTL8821CE chipset that requires out-of-tree kernel module to work in Linux.
You’ll need to build the kernel module in another OS and copy it to the sys-net template or connect to the network in Qubes OS using some other way e.g. some USB network device (Ethernet/WiFI/Mobile tether etc) and build and install it in the sys-net template.
