Pinning kernel 6.6

Hi!

I’m running Qubes 4.2 on kernel 6.6 and all is stable and fine. When updating to a newer kernel I got many issues so I’d like to stay with kernel 6.6.

I’ve heard of “kernel pinning”, is this the right term?

How do I do this and how do I still get dom0 updates except for kernel?

If you want to use your old kernel by default, try this:

For efi do: sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/qubes/grub.cfg
Personally, I haven’t tried it, but it should work.
